BetterPost ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by PE Mykhalchuk Dmytro Oleksandrovych (Kyiv, Ukraine). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our service — a Telegram-based tool that helps small businesses create and publish social media content automatically.

By using BetterPost, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you:

• Create an account (name, email address, and account credentials)
• Subscribe to a plan (payment information processed by Stripe)
• Connect your Instagram or Facebook account (OAuth access tokens for publishing)
• Submit content briefs, photos, and text to generate posts
• Contact us for support

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referring website addresses
• IP address

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the service
• Generate, design, schedule, and publish social media content on your behalf
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send service-related communications
• Respond to customer support requests
• Monitor, improve, and secure the platform

We do not use your content or connected social account data to train AI models.

Social Media Account Access

When you connect your Instagram or Facebook account, we request only the permissions necessary to publish content on your behalf. We do not:

• Access your direct messages
• Access your personal social media feed
• Post content without your knowledge
• Share your social media credentials with third parties

Our use of Meta platform data complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Meta Developer Policies.

You can revoke access at any time from your Facebook App Settings or from within BetterPost.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate BetterPost:

• OpenAI — AI content generation.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI content generation.
• Meta (Instagram / Facebook API) — Post publishing to connected accounts.
• Telegram — Bot interface for the service.
• Supabase / cloud hosting — Database and infrastructure (EU-based).
• Google Analytics — Optional website analytics, loaded only after you allow analytics cookies.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Social media access tokens are deleted within 30 days of account deletion or permission revocation. Payment records are retained for 5 years as required by applicable law.

Data Deletion

To request deletion of all your data:

1. Email hello@betterpost.io with the subject "Data Deletion Request"
2. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days
3. You can also revoke access directly from your Facebook App Settings

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage of access tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable precaution.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site, maintain your session, and keep the service secure. We use Google Analytics only if you allow analytics cookies — it helps us understand aggregate website usage. Advertising storage is disabled in our analytics setup.

You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the cookie banner when you first visit the site.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can also disconnect social media accounts and cancel your subscription at any time.

If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, you also have the right to data portability, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions. You may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — a full list is at edpb.europa.eu. UK residents may contact the ICO.

We process your data under the following legal bases: contract performance (providing the service), legitimate interest (security and service improvement), and consent (marketing and analytics cookies).

California Additional rights under CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, request correction, and opt out of its sale. International Data Transfers

BetterPost is registered in Ukraine, which the EU recognizes as providing adequate data protection. Your data may also be processed in the USA by our sub-processors (OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Meta, Google). All international transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or by posting the updated policy on this page at least 15 days before the changes take effect.
